They were very responsive all over the mountain. They were playful enough as far as turning. These skis were a nice blend of playful and aggressive. However, they weren’t so light that the mountain pushed them around. The light weight and camber helped keep turns jumpy and springy when needed. The Captis felt light, but not so light that power or control were sacrificed. They bit into groomed runs, but also held well down steep chutes.
That being said, they also made it easy to exit the turn. These skis held their edge very well, especially on long, drawn-out carves. You could feel the power and control due to the more rigid flex profile. This was helpful in cruddy conditions on the mountain. It performed well all over the mountain, but seemed to be at its peak on groomed intermediate and advanced runs. It was easy to turn, and was solid throughout a carve. The Captis felt very responsive and nimble. The end result was a mix of packed powder and groomed conditions on the runs. There were some pockets of powder off-trail.
